FAQs
- Are your mowers in working condition?
- Yes, all our mowers are serviced to ensure engine starts on 1st pull and ready to mow.
- How much life is left on the reel?
- Reel life is a measure of the diameter of the reel using a pie tape or caliper and ranges from 4.5in (little life left) - 5 inches (brand new reel). All of our mowers will have sufficient reel life left to last a homeowner several years. However contrary to what you might have read on a message forum somewhere, even a reel with barely 4.6 inches left on it is still enough to last a homeowner for a VERY long time. Golf courses mow several times a day plus back lap regularly which reduces reel life. Your average home owner does not do this. Hence do not let reel life be a major deciding factor on your greens mower purchase.
- Does my mower reel cut paper?
- To cut paper, a reel would need a good back lap or grind. Bed knife would also need to be sharpened or replaced. This is not a service we provide for every mower we sell as sharpening/back lapping the reel is an added expense and part of regular maintenance you will have to be familiar with and perform. For mowers in our inventory that have been sharpened, we will note this in the description and the price for grinding has already been factored in accordingly.
- What is the height of cut for my mower?
- This information is listed in the mower description + can also be obtained from the manufacturers specifications website
- Do you sell other reel mowers like the Tru cut, California Trimmer or Swardsman?
- No. We only carry Toro & John Deere walking greens mowers as these are the main long standing brands that have been embraced by the Professional Golfing community.
- Is usedreelmowers.com a company or individual?
- Thanks to incredible community support, our humble beginnings in a McKinney garage have blossomed into a sprawling 6000 sq. ft. warehouse in Irving since June 1st, 2021. Excitingly, we've expanded further and are now proudly serving Farmers Branch in 2023.

You'll receive shipping quotes during the checkout process, and please note that these quotes are quite accurate, with only a minor fluctuation of a few dollars. - How can I get a shipping quotation for international delivery?
- To receive a shipping quotation, please reach out to us and provide your delivery address. Our team will calculate the shipping cost based on the destination and package weight.
- Are there any additional charges or fees for international shipping?
- Depending on your country and its regulations, there might be additional charges such as customs duties, taxes, or import fees. These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our shipping quotation.
- My buddy bought his mower from an auction for $50. Why are you selling yours for $2000?
- We make slim margins on these mowers given the cost of freight, servicing and grinding to ensure it is in good working condition for our clients. What your buddy failed to mention are the countless hours spent in his garage trying to rehab the mower + the added expenses of all the parts + shipping incurred.
17. What part of the mower is being serviced?
- Reel mowers undergo extensive servicing, including but not limited to reel and bed knife grinding or replacement, oil change, brake and belt checks, carburetor cleaning, fuel system maintenance, greasing, air filter replacement, and cable replacement.
